BACKGROUND / Professional and educational background
Emilie Fortier is manager and facilitator for the Insertion Business Partners Regional Club in Normandy (CREPI). Created in late 2006, CREPI Normandie works with five departments in Normandy. It is a collective of businesses from various business lines committed to research and taking practical and efficient action, and wish to join forces and competence to allow sustainable return to employment for those who need it.
It is also a place for resources, exchange and networking with all economic and institutional actors from employment and training, aiming to synergize respective know-how and bring economy into the search for solutions to local employment issues.
With a Masters in Human Resources, Communication and Negotiations from the CELSA 5 (Paris Sorbonne), I took over animation for the club and developing the organization in March 2015, after several years of working with individuals looking for employment and companies wanting to work on their inclusive policy and help individuals with disabilities keep their jobs.
ACHIEVEMENT / What does the project/initiative/startup/company you will be presenting at the Positive Economy Forum consist of?
CREPI Normandie aims to create a link between job seekers in Normandy who have trouble accessing employment, local partners for employment, and businesses from our network and beyond, offering practical, customized and different meetings through various actions.
The structure accompanies businesses who wish to engage in and reinforce their corporate social responsibility with regards to recruiting/insertion, notably through the responsible entrepreneur guide and managing the social insertion clause (accompanying replies to calls for tenders, following the clause, recruiting, raising awareness).
LOCATION / Where do you lead your project/company (city, region and country)?
CREPI acts in Normandy with the help of the 15 other CREPI institutions in France, along with the CREPI federation.
IMPACT / How do you evaluate the economic, social, politic and environmental impact of your project / action?
Since 2006, CREPI Normandie has allowed the signature of 800 employment contracts in construction, industry, health, mass distribution, services, 120 professionalization contracts, 1,500 job interviews, 560 internships, 800 job discoveries, and over 300,000 hours of work for the social insertion clause.
In 2016, 253 people benefited from CREPI Normandie’s action and/or follow-up. Out of these 253 people, 100 people benefited from a job discovery, and 153 from a return to employment. As a result, 112 people were able to find a professional solution, out of which 22% are sustainable jobs.
Every year, the CREPI Normandie holds workshops and raises awareness for businesses in its network (diversity and inclusion, prevention professional exclusion, generational management, gender equality…)
