Event Production, Ouishare & Freelance in media & SSE
BACKGROUND / Professional and educational background:
With a degree from Télécom SudParis engineering school obtained in 2007 with a major in audiovisual and multimedia and an exchange in Sweden, I have worked for France 24 since its creation in 2006 and left in 2012 as Engineering Manager to lead the creation of infrastructures for D8 and D17 within the Canal Group. I was then South Europe Operations Manager at NBCUniversal for 2 years. After my world tour in 2015/2016, I started freelancing as an autoentrepreneur. I was advising, managing projects and pre-sales for media, and experiencing social and solidarity economy along with social innovation all at the same time!
I was notably in charge of production for TEDxParis in 2009, and I often volunteer for events such as L’Echappée Volée, the FreelanceFair, LaRuche meetings…
I joined the Ouishare Fest production team in 2017, as a technical manager among other things.
ACHIEVEMENT / What does the project/initiative/startup/company you will be presenting at the Positive Economy Forum consist of?
OuiShare is a community-based group and think tank dedicated to the emergence of a collaborative society: a society based on principles of openness, collaboration, trust and shared values.
For the past 5 years, the Ouishare France community has been holding a festival, the Ouishare Fest, and international event gathering visionaries, entrepreneurs, and communities to explore how digital tools and collaborative culture can bring solutions to our world’s greatest challenges.
LOCATION / Where do you lead your project/company (city, region and country)?
OuiShare is an international community, with offices in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, but also Barcelone, Berlin, or Rio de Janeiro.
IMPACT / How do you evaluate the economic, social, political and environmental impact of your project / action?
Although initially based on collaborative economy, OuiShare explores, experiments, and questions any approach aiming to bring answers to the economic, social, political, and environmental transition’s challenges.
When it comes to social challenges, the community notably guides high school students from priority areas, and fosters exchange and meetings between social entrepreneurs by putting them in touch with local authorities and social entrepreneurs.
Ouishare works for inclusion and living together through experiments during the Ouishare fest, on topics such as the role of third places in social diversity.
The community promotes, and is deeply involved in the ecological transition with its Zero Waste approach and its collaboration with Zero Waste France.
Several projects aspire to have a multi-sectorial approach, such as the Sharitories project, which guides local authorities wanting to seize the numerous opportunities offered by collaborative economy on a given territory. This project therefore aims to have an economic as well as social impact by redefining common areas and urban planning, etc.
Smartcities, fablabs, and civictechs are some of the themes addressed in events, projects, and the group’s reflections.
